How to Create and Update Tickets

Overview:
Tickets are the core of HoopoTrack. You create one for every job you want to track, and you can update it as the job progresses. Each ticket follows a status flow based on the template you selected.


🪜 How to Create a Ticket

(Recap for clarity, even if covered earlier)

  1. Click "New Ticket" in the dashboard

  2. Select a template

  3. Fill in customer info, optional notes, and PIN if needed

  4. Click Save — the ticket is created, and the tracking link is generated

🔄 How to Update a Ticket
  1. From your tickets list, click on any existing ticket

  2. You’ll see the current status and next available steps

  3. Click the next status (e.g., “In Progress”, “Ready for Pickup”)

  4. Confirm the update (and optionally adjust notes or ETA)

đź”” What Happens on Status Change?
  • If that status is configured to “Notify Customer”, HoopoTrack will:

    • Send an email automatically (if customer email was added)

    • Log the timestamp for analytics

  • If not, the status will update silently (no notification sent)

🛑 Can I Edit Ticket Info?

Yes. You can:

  • Edit customer name or contact info

  • Change internal notes

  • Adjust the current status manually

  • Reprint the receipt if needed
